This is a very different tour to Mary's initiation into India when she spent months travelling overland, often in crowded trains or on the back of goat trucks. Today Mary travels in a comfortable air-conditioned bus, or by air con train or on an internal flight and is accompanied by local Bollywood hopeful, Raj.
Rajasthan Unravelled for Diwali

Starting and finishing in Delhi, this tour includes the main heritage sites- such as The Taj in Agra; Amber Fort and Jantar Mantar Observatory in Jaipur; the Mehrangath Fort in Jodhpur and the Palace in Udaipur as well as stepwells and religious sites in Varanasi. The tour includes Diwali in Jaipur.
We also have some village experiences with the locals in Roopangarh, Pushkar and Bundi
Sunset on our own boat on the lake in Udaipur or drifting along the Ganges at both sunset and dawn is included.
Accommodation is varied and includes modern rooms, traditional heritage buildings, a fort, a place labelled as a palace and places selected for their special location.
A daily food experience is promised; as varied as visiting local markets, having cooking classes, enjoying meals on wheels on a train, eating with locals and eating at selected restaurants. Enjoy seasonal vegetables prepared in traditional Indian dishes; tikkas, soups and mutton curries (goat). Quench your thirst with lassies, Kingfisher beer and roadside masala chai.

Apart from personal retail therapy and non-local drinks, pretty much everything from Delhi airport arrival to Delhi airport departure is included- accommodation, meals, local beverages, entries, guides, classes, demonstrations, transfers, transport by whatever means (rickshaw,train, boat, bus, tuktuk, domestic flights), gratuities – not included are international flights to and from Delhi, travel insurance (mandatory) and on-line Visas
